only ignorant people think that. dubai (UAE) is one of the richest places in the world. qatar is even richer (both are quite a bit "richer" than saudi arabia, I believe).

Also in the most recent Golf Digest they had pictures of Tiger Woods visiting that place and HITTING GOLF BALLS OFF OF THE HELICOPTER PAD to the water!!!!!!! LOL.

I saw a tv show on the world's best hotels and this was one of the ones featured. It is more outrageous than these pictures imply :Q

For example, if you stay there, they pick you up from the airport in a Rolls Royce.

I live in Dubai and you have to see the hotel to believe it. I think it houses the only casino in Dubai and has amazing architecture. I think I am going to book a room for my parents for their next marriage anniversary

Dubai is so amazingly oil-rich - free higher education, state-funded cars for the general public, free full-service healthcare, all because of government oil export taxes being so lucrative a collection. :Q

I have known plenty of people from Dubai, but never heard of the state funded cars.
