haha. I have 1024MB PC2700 and it definitely does not perform like 2048MB, although I probably wouldn't even notice the difference if it did. 😛

the sad thing is that most of the non-comp people I know would believe such a thing, lol... so that must mean QDR runs at 1024*4 or a whopping 4096, I want that RAM!
