Check out these upcoming SCIFI tv shows. Pretty cool looking.

I got a laugh out of the trailer for the Portal. I've liked Penikett since BSG. The other two I was sort of meh on. Apocalypse stories never grow old, obviously, but the genre is pretty worn for me right now.

The Portal looks stupid but amusing. I have a feeling it will be "too serious" to be entertaining though.

The rest of them, typical cannon fodder. "Meh"

Portal is the only one worth giving a shot due to it's silly stupidity. :D

Blasphemy! Personally, I think it's one of the best "serious" science fiction shows I've seen since BSG (though not as good as BSG of course). But I haven't seen any of S3 yet. To each his own

These new shows look interesting, but I won't say entirely promising. Was hoping the age of "80% comedy, 20% sci-fi" can go the way of the past for a few years, as it has overstayed its welcome IMO. I'll try to give them all a shot, but I might have to skip the one that looks like a modern day Beastmaster.

The Portal will be absolutely terrible or amazingly great. A show like that has no middle ground.

I hope it does well since Tamoh Penikett seems like a nice guy and he's a decent actor who went down in flames in Dollhouse.

I saw him in some movie about a guy who dies and has to rescue his girlfriend in the afterlife, or something. It wasn't good. I think you're right about Portal's binary fate.

I agree about Portal. But the trailer make it look pretty stupid. I do like Tamoh Penikett as an actor. Really liked him in Dollhouse.

As for the other two, isn't The Last ship basically the same as The Helix?

And i closed the trailer for Dominion in the middle. i hate supernatural shows...

meh, they'll either last 6 episodes, get relegated to being a 6 show per year summer run, or something equally silly, if not outright canceled and forgotten.

SciFi channel has blown chunks for years with their track record of producing shows.

My only issue with The Last Ship is Michael Bay, I imagine it'll be more action than plot. Love the concept though.

Portal looks stupid, last ship looks decent and Dominion looks alright. With Under The Dome coming back on I don't know if I'll watch. Plus I have my magazine Wizards and shut ins to read. LMAO!

The Portal isn't a TV show. It's not even movie. It's a short film; 11 minutes short if IMDB is right.

techs, you sir fail.:p

I get the impression it's being shopped around. Which would make sense if they're looking for funding for future works or even a distributor for the current work.

I'm not much of a fantasy watching person, but it gave hints it was really science based, or at least some of it, and I would definitely be interested in watching that.

Portal looks decent but who knows if it will become a TV show.

Also big thumbs up for Rhona Mitra in The Last Ship.

The Portal looks hilarious, and I'd watch that. I watched the trailer for The Last Ship about 3 times and still don't know what it's about.

As for Dominion, it sounds like somebody read "The Salvation Wars" and decided to make it into a show, but only with invincible Angels instead of humanity curb-stomping both Heaven and Hell with technology.

The portal looks like it has potential. The Last Ship leaves me skeptical since Michael Bay is really only good at blowing stuff up, Dominion I doubt I'd even give a shot.

I wonder if they'll actually air any of these in the right order and without long breaks between episodes. That would be something new.
