Check out these Temps

Hey all. I am new here, so forgive me if this is a stupid question.

I have an Athlon 1.2(266) running at 1.33. I am using a Tai-Sol CGK742092 heatsink/fan. The CPU temp at full load gets up to 53c. Idle, its about 39c. Are these normal? Too high/low? Safe? etc. Any help/insight/advice would be great - cause I'd like to go a little higher.

Thanks

Well they are definately safe...dont know about normal, idle seems good but im not sure about full load although dont run a chip at that speed

What motherboard. Some read a little higher (which may be more accurate) than others. But I would say your reasonably safe.

My board is an KT7a. Vcore - I dunno. I left the voltage alone. 1.75.

Thanks for all the input - keep it coming. For now, I have put it back to the default 1.2 cause I'm too nervous about burning this chip up.
