Taken at my brothers place down the street from me here in Gainesville, FL.

FYI, no its not 3 feet long... It was on the glass of his back patio... I would guestimate it was about 9-10" long...

It's called "Forced Perspective".
It's what makes it look like you're 15 feet tall at one end of a "wacky room" and then get back to normal size as you approach the viewer.
There is nothing except the chair for the brain to gauge relative size on, because the visual clues are skewed.
