They don't appear to be dark on my properly calibrated monitor. :)

You've got some great snapshots of a great time! Don't forget to back them up, especially since you don't have any "originals."

haha. i wasnt looking at the guys. But if you want hot guys you gotta go during spring break i guess. when I went there were mostly older people. only in the clubs (coco bongo, Daddy O's) in downtown cancun did I see young people.

good luck and have fun. and try not to hook up with too many mexican guys :p

while kind of on the subject, does anyone know if they sell really long sheets of paper to print panoramic pictures on? i print my own pictures on my computer and was wondering if they make long glossy paper to possibly print out a large panoramic picture.

stop it! you are making it harder for me to wait!

lol you know what is funny? i had this discussion w/my friends mom Tuesday night in a BBQ. she is annoying when she is drunk and very stubborn, and on top of that she is Mexican. I was telling her about Aruba and she kept on claiming how the water in Cancun is the clearest/bluest in the world. I was like first of all, no its not ... Tahiti has the clearest water in the world, and second of all, Aruba supposedly has the 2nd clearest water in the world.

I kept on telling her I even did research and honestly it was part of my decision to go to Aruba due to the reputation of the water and beaches, and how everywhere said it was clearer than Cancun as far as water goes. her stubborn drunk ass would not accept that fact that Aruba has nicer water than Cancun/Mexico does.

but yea man, i am so psyched :D. I'm going to Ocean City, MD (i see you are in NJ) this saturday for the day and night, and that water is going to look like crap compared to what i'm going to see next week :D

haha obviously she's gonna claim cancun has clearer waters. But Cancun's just too touisty and im sure it gets more volume of tourists per year than Aruba. Aruba was my first choice...but sadly those plans didnt work out. Maybe next year.

And trust me. US coastal waters looks like utter crap compared to the carribean (even when compared to Miami and Key West). I went to the NJ beach Memorial weekend and although it was nice and sunny, the water was just crap!! it was so freaking cold!!

Oh and let me know how Ocean City, MD is. I was looking into that place for a weekend vacation with my gf sometime this summer. Whats a good place to stay, what are the good clubs, etc.

honestly OC is not fun to me really at all. There isn't much of a night life at all, and its gotten pretty trashy. the boardwalk is trashy now a days as well. the only fun place to go at night IMO is Secrets. i am a person who likes to go out places and hear loud music and drink and dance and party. i dont like to go to them pubs where people sit down and just drink and listen to loud ass bands or something. and thats what OC has the most of.

Secrets is really fun though. it has outside parts as well and a great environment, and there are people of all ages there. as far as where to stay, i don't know many places at all. my mom has a condo from this saturday for a week and i'm crashing there for the night.

The Solaris was pretty far from downtown... it was much closer to the airport... I'm not sure what chain it belongs to... here's the website though

All-inclusive was great fun... The whole time I was in Cancun I spent a grand total of $24.00 that was on shuttling from the airport(I screwed up and didnt coordinate with the hotel right, and didnt arrange the free shuttle to pick us up), and a magazine to read on the plane back.

We had some pretty damn good fine dining too... that and all the alcohol my liver could stand.

eh? which one?

The Hard Rock Cafe, looks like it has a roof over it? Like, it's inside of another larger building?
The HRC is in a separate structure, that is inside (in the middle of the large food court area) the Forum by the Sea mall. I can't remember exactly what, but there are a couple eating places on top of it, that to get to, you can go up to the second floor of the food court, then around to the back of it. Another pic.

Cool pics, Aharami! I went to Cancun in 2001. I really wish I had an underwater case when I went, but I had a giant Kodak DC290 back then. We used disposable Kodak underwater cameras when we went snorkling and the pics are so washed out (and it was overcast that day). We snorkled on the jungle tour in Cancun, and in Xel-Ha. Went scuba diving also, around Punta Cancun I think, but didn't want to bother with cameras since it was our first time. We thought the coral at Cancun was pretty good, for both snorkeling and diving, since it was shallow. Diving, we only had to go down about 30 ft. too see a lot of reef, which is good for beginners.

We went in May and it was hot and very humid. It rained about 5 days. It was pouring when we had to leave Xel-Ha (our buses to the hotel were leaving at a certain time) so after drying while eating the buffet, we got soaked again running to the bus, and had to ride 1-2 hours back wet, freezing since they had the A/C cranked up.
There were a little too many high schoolers there acting stupid.
Stayed 7 days and there was quite a bit we didn't get to do.
We stated at the Royal Solaris (all inclusive), where Doboji mentioned. They had a good dinner the first night, with awesome tacos. The 'Taco Paaaty'! <-Also played games, drank. Neat that if you came back to the hotel real late (ie. midnight), they still had a small buffet at the hotel. I gained 5-10 lbs on that trip. What did you think of the hotel, Doboji?
Got a few other stories.
