To think that somebody could look at those words and not understand what they mean is a weird thought.

i know right?

It's like... they aren't symbols, rather letters used by 90% of the worlds population through the course of history in some variety of combination.

😉

However, that has to be pure shens, sadly. No way any modern citizen of an East-Asian country is raised without the most basic of English taught on multiple occasions during school years. Understand enough to read and speak sentences? No. Know what "do", "me", "in", "the" mean? Likely. Maybe even "butt". Shouldn't take much to figure out what it might mean when those words are combined. 😀

But ultimate  if legit. To see that situation turned around like that is LOL worthy.

I'd have to think shens. Most asians have some english knowledge. At least more knowledge about English than we do about any of the asian languages.

Could have gone for something like "duty free" or "cheeseburgers".

Maybe not if they live in a rural or poverty stricken area. These people aren't going to be fascinated with English culture to begin with though.

The type to take a picture, get a tattoo in English, and post it on a message board will definitely know a bit of English though.

Well, the writing is Japanese... which means he learned the Alphabet (well, Romanji) in 4th grade and had at least 3 years mandatory English education in junior high school.

I'm going to call shens on this.
