your depth of field is poor, of course you need a good lense for that, you composition is nice, and you can fix your DoF problem by zooming all the way and stepping back.

if that is your "n00b" photography, wait until you become more proficient at it. That is really good for being new at it. I've been taking pics for awhile now - currently have a rebel XT and 9.5GB of pics - and I rarely have anything that good. Guess I just don't have the eye for it, but I can tell that you do. Keep it up :thumbsup:

Very interesting. Care to point out more specifically- which photo are you referring to?

I learned it today, as seen in the photo 'Serene', if you zoom all the way in (Cam has 4x optical) the backdrop will have a nice 'clastophobic' feel.

?? zoooming all the way in after stepping back will give the same results as in his pictures...what you just described would limit the depth just as much as how his pictures appear now
