I don't know what is more pathetic... you taking a movie of your watch... or me downloading it and watching it.
Probably the latter. :p

What's the difference between Kinetic and Automatic?
Kinetic is a quartz movement powered by the movement of your wrist. Automatic is a mechanical movement powered by the movement of your wrist. It's widely thought that Kinetic is more "cool," but Automatic is more "traditional."

I've had a Seiko Kinetic for about 7 or 8 years now. My only complaint is that if I don't wear it for a few days, the watch needs to be re-set. Other than that, it's a solid watch; takes a good beating :D.

If it's a Seiko 5, or any other watch powered by a 7S26 movement (the model number will be stamped on the back of the watch, and will be 7S26, followed by a hyphen and four other numbers; e.g., "7S26-5000"), refer to this guide. It's technically for the SKX-series divers, but will work for your watch as well.

No, I mean as in quality and stuffs. I've just recently parted with my 2 yrs old Longine (I broke it) and was walking through Macy's when I saw this neat watch (Skagen), I thought it looks very nice, so for $95 bucks, I grab it. I don't know a thing about it. I figure, if it lasts me a few months, it's worth the money.

Nice watch DonVito!

I'm a big fan of simple too. Straight up arabic numerals and I'd rather not have a date indicator unless the watch has a perpetual calendar.

I haven't heard of Sinn, but I'll be on the lookout since I've needed a new watch for the last two years (it's tough finding a good watch when you have small wrists)

This manual seems to leave out some features. Does anyone know where i can find a Seiko 5 manual?

It looks like a watch.... I'll stick with my Timex Ironman, but if it makes you happy, congratulations! It sounds like it was a sweet deal!
