I'm happy to get steady 1.5 mbit downloads with my DSL. I never go below that and have sometimes broken the 1.5 mbit barrier for a few minutes at a time (hell if I know how I did). The last 4 months I had Charter Cable I was lucky to break the 100 kbps download rate. My upload was always faster than my DL and it was maxed at 128 kbps. :/

Then Bellsouth came to my area and freeeeeeeed me! $10 more per month, but now I don't feel the urge to slash the tires of the cable guys anymore...
