If you're going to go with a mid-tower case like the Centurion C5, you might want a different PSU. According to the reviews on Newegg, the ATX300-PA has short cables.

Hrmm I read that but looking at the pics they seem average length?

Thats a cool case. (Not as cool as the ATX verison though.)

How is the build quailty? Worth the 45 bucks?

Agreed, you have NO chance of competing with Dell in the budget market.

Well go ahead and call Dell up, I have 2 customers waiting on my budget system.

Whats with these Dell fanboys? Annoying.

I would say that case is fine. Coolermaster is a fine company, and for a regular rig, that case will handle fine. By regular, I mean not much upgrading and no more than two or three drives. That system probably won't generate too much heat either, so I would say the cooling in that case it okay too.

$600 is not budget. I just built a "budget" pc for $350.

No one is going to spend $600 to make spreadsheets and word documents, unless they're a friend or something. You can get a dell that looks better, is faster and quieter for cheaper.

Those people buying them from you clearly haven't looked at the price of a dell.

If you're going to pinch pennies on a computer, newegg isn't the place to do it. You can probably peice that same computer together for cheaper if you were to shop around.

I am not going to reply to these kind of questions/statements anymore.

Are you going to be their tech support when/if something goes wrong? That's why I'd go with a Dell for a budget build, as well as the OS being included in the price.

I do agree that searching places other than NewEgg is a good idea. Frankly their prices and shipping are generally high. For example

I don't know why folks keep saying it's cheaper to get a Dell. Of course there are exceptions, but usually it's much cheaper to just build it yourself. If you do buy a pre-built, HP/Compaq and eMachines offer better deals than Dell.

Umm, because for a budget box a Dell is cheaper. Spending $80-100 on the OS generally kills any chance of beating their price. Depending on where you shop getting nailed for shipping adds up too.

Dell often charges $99 for shipping.

I'm a budget buyer, as you can see from my sig. I buy budget rigs for myself and my family, and I do regular price checks looking out for the next deal. Never has Dell or any other pre-built been cheaper than a custom build, OS or not.

Custom is almost always cheaper.

So your total is 648, but how much are you actually charging your "customers" for it?

[Equal to the ATX version...the same construction...laid out a little differently...the motherboard is actually installed "upside down" so that the PS2 connectors are on the bottom, near the floor, when the case is standing. I was very pleased with it.

Please guys, stop trolling my thread with "discussions" of the Dell VS. DIY Wars. I did not make this thread to debate that matter. I still have some questions that I would like to be answered. Particularly the following questions:

1) What is the difference between the Biostart Tforce 6100 mother board and the nForce 410 GeForce 6100 (754) GEFORCE 6100-M7. On biostars website they have a quick compare feature and both boards are 100% the same. What is the reason for the nForce 410 GeForce 6100 (754) GEFORCE 6100-M7 to be almost 25 dollars cheaper?

2) Does the integrated video compare to that of Geforce 5900 AGP 8x?

3) How much RAM does the intergrated video use? Does it share the system memory?

4) I used to have a biostart mother board awhile ago, it was horrible and died. Their customer service sucked really bad. Has this company gotten better with their products and warrenty service?

Thank you.

2) probably not. since it uses shared memory your system sees a performance hit, and the video sees a performance hit. Generally you can't compare onboard video with ANY video that uses an AGP slot for this reason.

3) Yes, it's shared. Typically 32-64mb. On any quality board you can change the ammount allocated to the video card in the bios.

4) Probably not

1) The GeForce 6100-M7 and TForce 6100-754 are, as you saw, essentially the same motherboard. The TForce is built a bit more solidly, has higher quality transistors and probably a few more features in the BIOS. However, the GeForce 6100-M7 is still a great board, and it has all the necessary overclocking features to get a Sempron chip to 2.3-2.6 GHz.

2) No. Dedicated video is almost always superior to integrated. That is not to say the GeForce has bad graphics, though. In fact, some reviews I've seen rate the GeForce graphics as the best integrated video on the market.

3) Yes, it shares system memory. The lowest possible setting is probably 32 MB. The highest setting could be 64 or 128 MB--you'd have to check on the website to be sure. 64 MB is a decent setting for integrated video. And, yes, it cuts into system memory, but I wouldn't worry about that. It means you'll have 448 MB instead of the full 512, or 896 MB instead of 1GB. No biggie.

4) One bad experience isn't the end-all-be-all of a company's customer service. On the contrary, people seem to be very happy with Biostar boards--especially the GeForce you're considering.
