Just came back up the hill (Mountain to most) on the snowmobile and its cold and windy.... At 4 PM it was 4 degrees F and wind was blowing about 40-60 mph... too cold at the moment to figure out the windchill on that, but here is a pic to give you an idea of the wind... I am in the Eastern Sierras of California, just east of Yosemite at about 9700 feet in elevation.

Pic

Just to give you an idea, thats snow blowing off that ridge, and its being carried for several thousand feet...

Edit: forgot to add that we had between a foot and a half to two feet of snow yesterday...

Had a high of 35 where I live. Been super arid though, absolutely no moisture in the air.

<-Lives in the hills of Southwest Washington.

Just wandered in from outside where I spent the afternoon surfing on my laptop...

Kalvin,
Where did you go? Did you head east on 80? If so, how far east and how was the driving conditions? You have a good time?

As far as living that high, it definately is different... you really realize how extreme it is for some when someone passes out in front of you from the altitude and usually some other contributing factor... 😀
