Check engine light

96 Geo Prizm 1.6 check engine light came on and showed the oxygen sensor went bad. I ordered one online which hasn't come yet but now the light went off by itself. Still faulty? Could Sea Foam fuel treatment have triggered the issue which I was running in it at the time?

What did the code REALLY say?

O2 sensor codes can be heating element, reading high, reading low, etc...

person at advance told me it was a bad o2 sensor, the one just before the manifold.

bank 1 sensor 1 or something. Didn't give me the code though.

Hard to say then. It could eb the heating elemnet, if it has one, is going bad and shows up when cold but when it gets warmer it shows up as ok. My sister in-laws Audi has the heating element code when it was cold but has been turned off since it has got warm.

I know in my Maxima that the light resets after 50 or so starts. It will come back on if the problem is not corrected.
