I got the 12X ones today. They're green/yellow on the bottom and silver on the top...and manufactured by CMC Magnetics.

I got mine on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. Thanks for the heads on this hot deal. They shipped in less than 24 hours like they said they would.

Maybe the smell is a preservative to keep them fresh to extend the shelflife of the cd's so I wouldn't air them out.

Just Joking, But do sound interesting though I guess.

Anyone have any problems reading/writing to these cdrs? I am having about 50% success writing to these and I'm not sure why. My other TDKs burn perfectly everytime. Some of my drives cannot read these cds.

Btw, i've burnt a ton of these discs, kenwood car player=fine, dreamcast=fine,apex vcd=fine.
