What is the cheapest way to amass a DVD collection? I have a good sized list of DVD I want so what would be the cheapest to get it at once? or over a short time? I used to get good deals on CDs from BMG. Is a club the way?

Walmart has good prices but I have gotten censored cds from them. I assume they can't get edited DVDs but can they?

Walmart doesn't sell edited versions of DVDs, luckily.

Columbia House is a good way to start, check out this thread on DVDTalk.com

Also, don't forget DVDPricesearch & DeepDiscountDVD

dvds are cheapest right when they come out so if you see a dvd onsale get it then. For instance star wars episode 2 came out and toys r us had it on sale for $9.99. Any price under $13 is pretty good.

Get a job for someone with power in the entertainment business. They get free DVDs all the time, especially when the Oscars voting rolls around.

Go back in time and take advantage of those great deals we used to have...ah...

800.com 3 for $1
Reel.com coupons
CDNow gift certificates
Amazon gift certificates

Geez...there were some other great ones, a couple of websites (ValueAmerica? And one that started with 'B'?) that had great coupons/sales, too. Ahh...those were the days :)

Yup, I'm gonna have to pick up Goldmember tomorrow in Best Buy, its like $14.99 I think. Columbia House already wants $26.95 or $21.95 if you buy another DVD at equal or greater value... ;)

The only deal I ever saw for that was a $5 Digital Coupon.

What's this about a $10 GC? :D
