cheapest subscription to the Economist?

Yeah, they're really are no "cheap" subs. Since I long ago let my first one year sub go, I have more than once taken them up on heavily discounted offers they have sent me personally, but even then I don't recall them being cheaper than $60/yr -- often less total but then not for a full year.

See if Palin will sell you her subscription for cheap now that the election is over.

I pay entirely too much money for the subscription, but it is worth it. The Economist is just the best weekly magazine on the planet.

There was a slickdeals going for $1 an issue. It is dead now, but keep your eye open. You could even lock in the rate.

great mag, but just too much info for 1 week. it would be better as a 2 week issue.

Mine have a tendancy to pile up because it is just way too dense to go thru one a week. Once a month or so I have to really sit down and do a big read to play catch-up.

Agreed. My sub just auto-renewed for another 2 months, but at the end of that period I might cancel because I haven't been able to keep up as of late. Additionally, I got in on that $1/issue special but couldn't lock in at that rate; they upped it to $2/issue and wouldn't let me keep the $1/issue rate.

ok just used 3200 continental miles for it. not bad for ebay value of 60$. may take 6-12 weeks for first issue though. wtf
