So I can't really afford to get a no brainer name brand, and am in need of a solid budget buy. Of course, I don't want to get junk.. But no-frills will do. Here's the rig:

amd be-2300 cpu (x2, 45w processor)
blu ray drive
asrock 780g chipset motherboard
using onboard video/sound
haughpauge tv-tuner card
Wifi pci card
Micro-atx case

I'm just using this for media playback and will not game on it.

Thanks!

Thanks! The 400w silvertone looks great, is there any reason to go with the antec? I.E. Is one quieter than the other?

The Silverstone is rather old and dated design from Enhance.....look at the voltage selector on the rear of the power supply. The Antec EA380 is a much newer design from Delta with Active PFC. That in itself is enough for me to choose the EA380.

In fact, that 400W Silverstone unit was tested on HardOCP and was equated to an Antec Basiq 500W as far as design and functional quality......and the Earthwatt line is much better built, designed, and has cleaner, more stable DC output than either the old Siverstone Strider you're considering or the Basiq line from Antec.

I'd go with the ST400. It's cheaper than the Earthwatts 380 (at least through newegg). Even if the above is true, it still was able to do what it claimed all within spec.
