Hello everyone. I am looking to upgrade my girlfriend's system for around 100$ - 150$. She doesn't do a whole lot of everything except some flash games that require a little more power. I was thinking in the 700-800mhz range, maybe a little lower... I need a baby at (or at) motherboard with built in Video and Sound with a strong processor, and 128mb of ram (256 if price allows it) if anyone can help me find a place to get something like this I would strongly appreciate it, thanks! :)

Get the VIA Eden combination. It's a cheap mATX mainboard that has onboard S3 video and AC97 sound. It includes a C3 processor as well. You can then buy some cheap PC133 memory.

No, it isn't. You could build your own AT to ATX mainboard power connector adaptor, though.

your gonna be very limited by the AT requirement.

if you want to stick with the AT case/PS your best bet would be to post this in the For Sale forum.

if your willing to shell out a bit more cash, here's an idea of what you can get...

Asus A7N266-VM nForce mATX, onboard LAN, audio, video - $68 shipped @ newegg

256 MB PC2100 for about $20 after rebate from Hot Deals

AMD Duron 1.3Ghz for $32 shipped, check pricewatch.com

Here's a ATX case with 400W powersupply for $32 shipped.

So, if you can use everything else from the old PC, I'm at $152 shipped. Also would need a heatsink for the duron, prolly another $5-$10 bucks.
