Cheapest power cable extender?

Hi all, I just discovered that my 12v 4-pin cable is not long enough. I looked on newegg, but the lowest price is this and it costs 15 dollars. This is such a rip off, so anyone knows of a fair place? or anyone knows what is the cable's gauge size is? so I can just get the equivalent power cable and extend it my self.

Thanks,

Find an old PSU and cut off some wires to use. If you have to buy some, I think 18 guage should be enough. I've had to do this for people before, and have seen many others do this. Most of the time it is for those "upside down" cases with the power supplies on the "wrong" side of the motherboard. You can go ghetto and strip/twist/wrap the wires, or you can solder/heatshrink them.
