Kragen, Walmart, Pep Boys, where ever. Watch their adverts and look for rebates on cases of motor oil.

Go to Walmart and buy the 5 Qt container of oil. Just changed my oil using the Walmart oil. I can change my oil for under $10.

In general or the cheapest oil out there???

Tech2000 oil at wal-mart is prob. the cheapest. Less than $.99 for a quart. It is Quaker State oil in it.

Also DON'T use a Fram oil filter, EVER. Get the Tech2000 at wal-mart or a STP from Autozone, both very good and cheap.

Since I said under $10 you could throw out any number and I could easily say I can beat your price...

My dad has cut up a couple honda OEM filters and the one built by fram is noticeably crappier than the other filters. It has the infamous cardboard endcaps and stuff. That being said, the fram filter isn't so bad that your car will die after using a couple. It's just not good at all and there are better brands at better prices.

For cheap filters, the basic purolator (pepboys) and supertech (walmart) filters are good. OEM/dealer filters are a crap shoot, because they outsource everywhere. Good ones from say Honda and Toyota are some of the best you'll find anywhere, where as the crappiest ones are frams (seriously).

Even the cheapest oil these days is basically adequate if you change it aggressively. Read and search the forums here for reviews of the oil you like.

The supertech/tech2000 part number usually matches the fram one.

Fram filters are bad and so are all the others, whats new. I use fram and couldn't be happier as we also use fram on our dragster just fine.

Walmart oil is quaker state oil.
