Cheapest motorcycle insurance?

edro

Lifer
I have an old junk 78 Kawasaki KZ1000 motorcylce that I wanna ride around this summer. I just got my permit and will get my license in a month or so. I have Nationwide for all other insurance, but they want $440 every 6 months for liability only. I only paid $100 for the bike, so I don't really wanna pay that much.

I checked out Progressive's website and they want $190 every 6 months (online estimate).

Anyone know of a cheap place?

Thanks,
Ed

here are some choices.

www.geico.com ---> i have this.. pay about 600+ for full coverage (120 for liablity). Look for Cyclegard (that's the motorcycle division). http://www.geico.com/insproducts/insprcycle.html for direct link.

www.bike-line.com --> its a bit expensive though IMHO.

http://www.mcgrawgroup.com/ --- > Highly recommended.

for a older bike (even if its a 1000 cc) your going to pay thru the nose because your a new rider.. Just take it safe and slow.. The KZ's are cool bikes.. really sweet.. esp if you can put some red and blue lights as well as some white ones (for those times to be legal) and enjoy ppl giving you way !

If your under 21, you have to take the MSF course.. (atleast in CA).. www.msf-usa.org for information on the closest training area.
