$100 for MS Streets and Trips along with the GPS and a power inverter got us 1,379 miles in 22 hours. Completely indispensible.
Don't forget $1500 for the laptop. Plus, Streets and Trips doesn't give voice directions, so it's useless without a body in the passenger seat to yell out turns.

My i2 works great with just me. :)

My S & T 2006 gives out voice directions...you need to stop using the bootleg version;)
Who pays $1500 for a laptop nowadays? You need to spend more time in the "Hot Deals" board

The POI database on the StreetPilot i3 is awful as well. The "2005" DVD map that came with it seems to be 3 years out of date, as many of the stores and restaurants that it lists in my area have either moved or closed.

I use a Globstat BT-338 bluetooth GPS unit with my Dell 700m and I can also use it with my Axim.

iGuidance is great software to use. It can be used with either a laptop or a PDA.

The Globstat's batteries last for well over 12 hours and once it is synched up with the satellites, you can keep it in your glove box. That is how good the antenna is on it.

I also use MS Mappoint 2004 with it. It works great.
