I need to buy someone a camera so they can upload ten photos to email and send to me. Anything in the $10 delivered range? I'm thinking maybe a chain store has a throwaway-type that I could order delivered.
Thanks for any advice.

This is the best I could come up with on Amazon that had half decent user reviews. It's only $15 but it's currently out of stock and you'd still need a SD card.
Vivitar V46-RED 4MP Digital Camera with 1.5-Inch LCD Screen

Everything else I saw in the <$20 range on Amazon looked like an absolute waste of money. This person doesn't have a cell phone they could use? Phones have kinda killed off cheap digital cameras.

Nohr, thanks for that. This person claims their digital camera "is broke" and their phone "don't take take pictures." Plus the location is in the mountain so nearest cell tower is over a hill 6 miles away. :( Maybe I should send them a prepaid phone/camera already activated?

I'm asking them to send me photos of some work they were supposed to have completed.

I get the feeling that they are playing you. Do you have a friend in their vicinity that could do that for you?

Maybe there is someone in this forum that has nearby access/ Got a QTH?

Saw this one 20 bucks and it includes 16MB of memory with a USB interface, because I'm sure the "I don't have an SD card reader" excuse would come up.

Yesterday they told me their phone lines are "acting up" so their DSL modem may not be able to send photos. I think a Tracfone that can send directly to email (SMS message?) may be my best option. They drive by Walmart regularly and I think Walmart could activate the phone for them and maybe show them how to send a photo.

Another brute force approach - mail them a thumb drive. They take the pictures, load 'em to the TC and then mail it back to you.

Their camera hasn't been working. That's why I was considering mailing them a working camera.

Man, how many red flags are you going to ignore before you accept that this person is not to be trusted? Phone lines acting up? Give me a break...

Yea, I'm sure the dog would eat the camera phone at this point.

If we knew the location of the target, there might be someone on the Forum that could do this for you. I asked that before, but used Ham radio Q cide (QTH = location.)

Thanks, but like I wrote, I'm going to try to hold their feet to the fire by forcing them to provide the evidence themselves.

Not sure what you're doing but if they can't go to a store and buy a disposable camera then you should not be doing business with them. Why would you take the time mailing them a camera when they could mail you a disposable?

You need to use common sense here. This person is playing you.

I'm certain they're playing me, I just want them to admit it by their own evidence.

A sum of money is involved. Don't want the hassle of small claims court from a distance. If I can embarrass them into paying I kill two birds with one stone. This is what adults do to collect debts.
