I am looking for good power supply, nothing spectacular but something that will run reliably with practically anything reasonable.

I am thinking the ThermalTake PurePower 420W which can be had for ~$40.

Can I gate a better value or should I just go for it?

Thanks

The Sparkle Power Q 350 seems like a good option for ~$30. Would the Thermaltake be worth the little extra for the extra power?

All of the aforementioned companies make quality PSUs: Fortron, Enlight, and Sparkle. However, that Thermaltake also sounds like a pretty good deal. You may also want to check out OCZ power supplies.

I bought a couple of cheap cases with even cheaper PSUs which I replaced with the Thermaltake you're looking at, and I haven't had even a hint of a problem. The mass of the Tt will surprise you. For $39 it's heavy and comes with a ton of leads that are plenty long.

Thanks, So it looks like Sparkle is the best choice. OCZ are way to expensive. They may bee good especially for extreme overlocking, but I don't think my power needs cost that much just yet. Are the any OCZs for $50?
