TY 8x will run you about the same price.

What high quality 8x (25pack ) prices do you get?

I'm probably going to get the NEC ND-3250, which is 16X. I can find TY's for 50cents each. I was wondering if there was a 8X substitute that was cheaper and could still burn at 16X, perhaps around the 30cent range.

Don't be such a tightwad! I'm guessing that since you want to burn at 16x for the cheapest cost, that you're probably making illegal copies of DVDs to sell. If not, what's the diff between 8x and 16x.... about 2-4 mins max per DVD if that? Plus the faster you go, the more errors you get.

BB has a good sale on right now for the verbatim's 25 pack for only 12 bucks. I would get those

Fuji + R's, Sony (+ and -) will burn at 16x on the 3520

Ritek G04 and Maxell (Japan) will burn at 12x

Make sure you have the latest firmware, especially for the Sony's

WTF? Seriously, WTF? I want to get an ND-3520 which can burn at 16X. To get 8X media for it that can only be burnt at 8X would be stupid. I'm simply looking for the best deal on media at the time.
