If you're in the US then the Radeon8500LE is the clear winner (ATI tries to rip off us guys in Europe & Australia). It supports all DX8 functions and is as fast as a GF3TI500 but with much better dual-view and image quality. Do bear in mind the non-ATI (eg Hercules etc) Radeons are clocked lower and use cheaper RAM, unless the savings are great, get a true ATI.
If you want nVidia then the GF3TI200 aren't that far behind Radeon8500LE once o/c is taken in to account. Of course GF3's do all DX8 functions too, but GF4MX cards DON'T!
Another consideration is the SiS Xabre 400. It's faster than a GF4MX440/GF2TI and also does the DX8 functions. Can't say about dual-view or image quality but it is a great performer, although still in its early (if not beta) stages.
If it was my money then a Radeon8500LE would be my choice, unless the GF3TI200 was a fair bit cheaper.
