Cheapest 7800GTX Notebook

As you may know, I am in the market for a new notebook. I have decided however that if I am going back to the Windows world, I want the best mobil GPU available, so I am going with the Go 7800 GTX. Does anyone know the cheapest notebook with that GPU i could get? I'm looking for 1GB RAM, an 80GB HDD and wireless. The cheapest I've found with that config is about $2200. Anyone know where I could get it cheaper?

At this point, you're not likely to find anything under 2k (unless Dell throws out some sort of monster coupon).

Perhaps Dell 9300 with uber-coupons and then add your own 7800GTX?

You would have to hack the bios and that would void your warranty. So if you want to void your warranty, go ahead but i am going to wait till my warranty runs out or just get a new lappy. If i try to hack it, the 3 year warranty/cc would go away immediately unless i could cover it up.

The ProStar 5722 is the cheapest so far. I wouldn't expect to find something cheaper for a while, unless you can fine a whitebox laptop shell with a 7800gtx and build it yourself. I've had no luck with that yet.

The first thing you need to do is find which laptop makers offer the GTX in notebook models. That list won't be very long and in general will be quite high priced. Then you just need to look for coupons, special offers, rebates, etc. Timing is the key here because deals constantly come and go for short periods of time.

That said, I could have ordered my m170 with the GTX for $1849 ($350 option) shipped, no tax, from the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) website one month ago. Obviously, AAFES is for qualified shoppers only. That price was only there for about 1 week until the price soared back up to $2400 + $305 for GTX.

Dell does come out with huge coupons like $750 off at times. With Black Friday coming up and holidays right around the corner now is the time to get your list together and start visiting all the "deal" websites.

Are you planning on servicing it your self?
What do you mean like sexual favors? LOL j/k

Seriously though, what do you mean by servicing? I'll have to install my own copy of Windows and set it up. It comes with a one year mail in warranty and lifetime phone support.

As far as any kind of upgrades or paying someone to do work on it? I wouldn't dream of it and would service it myself.

ugh...Ive heard of people porn, child porn, porn with animals, but......never notebook porn. Poor thing, go easy on it till the warranty ends atleast.

Oh, and dont forget the thermal grease, wont hurts so much then.

Hehh, its ok. When my notebook arrives, I will be treating it as my wife also. You know, you remember my testing procedures?
