I owe a friend of mine a cheap guitar to play. This might work well!

Don't do it...

Try rondomusic.net for cheap guitars. The Esteban guitars are really, really shoddy.

Listen to the poster above me. Keep far away from the Esteban POS. Look on craigslist in your area for a cheap used acoustic. People regularly upgrade equipment or lose interest so you can find awesome stuff for cheap.

if ur confident ur gonna play a lot, don't buy a "beginner" guitar.

spend some money and buy a more decent one.

i recommend Takamine's and Ibanez's

people at a guitar shop will help you out.

once you get a good feel as to what's out there for what price, then you check websites and craigslist to shop around

Hmmm...based on the reviews, I'm not sure I'd do this one or not. A much better bang for the buck seems to be the Rogue RA-100D Dreadnaught guitar at $49.99 shipped:

I got one when someone pointed it out last month, and while it's not "awesome," it's certainly worth the $50 and great for a beginner. The reviews are much more positive, too.

For another $20, you can get a REAL nice elite case for it, too:

Then I'd head over to Amazon and get the Keith Wyatt instructional DVD for acoustics--he's a GREAT teacher for beginners:
