Cheaper Neon Case Light

For those of you like me who are interested in trying out some case mods, here's an option. Car lights are designed for 12 volts and are available at your local auto supply stores. I stopped by Schucks Auto Supply yesterday and picked up a small blue neon light for $19.99. I cut off the cigarette lighter adapter and stripped the wires. I took a floppy power supply adaper (converts from the large power supply connector to the smaller size used on floppy drives), cut off the smalll end and pulled the red and one black wire off the remaining connector. (Don't want any open wires floating around the case.) I connected the black from the light to the black from the power supply and the red from the light to the YELLOW (12V) coming from the power supply. Bingo, blue light special! Only $19.99 and no shipping charges.

Here's what I found "Tropical Neon Mini Interior Light" Part# 80-6032 $19.99.
It was in the "Trim" section, not in the electrical section.
