Yep. Assuming I get it running near the speed I think it will, I'm going to swap parts over from my 8150 rig. Should make for an interesting heads-up race. "Budget multi-core showdown"? :)

Crossfire 6950s, Asetek 920 CLC, 4x4GB DDR3, 850w PSU. I've ran 3dmark Firestrike and the Handbrake benchmark challenge from the thread here.

Mine doesn't look like it will be here until Monday. It's going to be replacing an i7-960. Anything in particular people would like to see?

P.S. they are now down to $103

Will do. From the little I've been able to find on this board, it should be capable of over 210 bclk. Maybe much higher, I couldn't find any discussions online of it pared with such a low multiplier processor.

In my head, I need 3.6 for this to be a worthwhile upgrade.

I was under the impression that the cpu also has something to do with getting a high bclk.
For what ever reason the 920s seemed to produce a higher bclk on a same mb then the 930 could.
Do to my cheap mb I could never get get more 204-205 on bclk.
Wish you luck with a high oc.

I'm testing at 18x190 since it's having a hard time POSTing with a BCLK of 200 even though my 960 had no problem.

This thing is a goddamn monster. Anyone who was thinking about the 3910K better go snap these up before the supply dries up.

Installing Handbrake now. 16x215 seems perfectly stable at 1.25V. Now that I can get a more accurate bead on what's going on with CPU-Z, I'll bump the Vcore up a little higher and see where the top is.

FWIW, this MSI motherboard is one of the ones that uses offset voltage instead of a fixed override. Great if you know your proc's Vcore table. Not so great if you have one that Intel doesn't officially acknowledge.
