Chuck eye is very very good. Problem is theres only 2 or at most 4 chuck eye steaks PER COW so it can be difficult to find. But it is very good.

there is nothing like a ribeye. But hanger steak has the marble. Short rib and flank steak would be other options. Of the primal cuts sirloin is the cheapest.

you could buy rib roasts and cut your own and have ribeye left over for something else.

I like Flat Iron steak, you don't see it many places, but it's damn good.

The ones I bought for $16.99/ lb have more outside marbling. And instead of 6 rolls, it's usually 2 for two to three pound package.

I did have pics of the last steak I ate but I erased it as my phone was running out of storage space. I have another package of steak but it's in the freezer.

Chuck eye steak is just as good as non prime rib eye imho. I would bet most people couldn't tell the difference.

There probably are decent, and possibly even cheaper, substitutes for the eye. However, the rib eye is not as good as the cap, aka deckle, imo. There just isn't a substitute be it hanger steak, tri-tip, flank, or what have you. It is simply the best piece of beef and when it is prime it is a prime cut of the best piece of beef. There is no substitute.
