Do you still need help?

I can provide a NameCheap screen shot if it helps?

Ross,

If I registered a domain elsewhere, what is the difference between these two options:

- I want to transfer my domain to CookieHost.com

- I will update the nameservers of a domain I have already registered Or I will register a new domain later on.

You want the second option.

Who is your domain registrar?

Have you contacted CookieHost.com's support?

hey there
i registered my domain with namecheap
cookiehost gave me a temp url address (which they recommend using during the 24-72 hr period) that does work for my site, so i figure that everything is okay in terms of uploading files, etc. it's just hat this has not switched over to my real web address.
i figure i will give them some time since they are having problems with their power company...if nothing changes in the next day or two i will contact them.
i am still building the site anyway so i am not stressing...

peace

If you have changed the DNS and it still not loading maybe the DNS cookiehost gave you is wrong? Have you verified that?

forgive me...i am a newbie in terms of domains/hosting, etc.

i am sure now that this is my error. i just went back to my namecheap account and indeed the DNS info field was blank! i thought i had covered my bases, but no...so i just filled in the nameserver info that cookiehost had sent me and that will probably get me going...

thanks

peace

Hmmm.....I've been looking to move my wife's store over to osCommerce (currently using ProStores). This looks like quite a deal. Almost too good to be true! 😱

Do they do website transfers for you? Hostnine has failed me miserably and it may be time to move.

My site went down for 36 hours, and despite the promised daily backups the most recent they had for me was 3 weeks old. Harsh.

How is the site's performance? Any links to someones site? Hostnine pings a lot better than most places for me... 60ms

Great deal Ross, I passed this on to my friend who was looking for a domain

You're welcome!

After everything you've done for me, it's the least I could do 🙂

Thanks RossMan! I finally got around to setting up a Midi account with CookieHost last night. I had an issue with Fantastico setting up ZenCart and sent in a support ticket at 12:35 AM EST. They responded at 3:15AM to ask me a question. I answered at 7:30AM and they had my issue fixed by 10AM.

Awesome response time from CookeHost.

Now to start moving my store over.
