Cheap way to connect cell phone --> computer?

I'm afraid I'm going to have to get a replacement cell phone in a few days, one of the buttons on my Sanyo 8100 seems to have worn out to where I have to push it 3 or 4 times to get an input.

I have nearly 100 entries in my phone book (with 2 or 3 numbers for each entry) and it would be a HUGE pain in the ass to transfer all those by hand. Is there a cheap way to connect my phone to my PC so that I can transfer the contacts? Or is it possible for Sprint to do that automatically when I switch out my phone?

sprint does not use sim card...so u cant jus transfer it like that

if you can connect your phone to computer, then transfer files that way. if your phone supports infrared port i can sell you an adapter

If you have no infrared and no USB, you're screwed (The USB probably won't be a standard plug)

you know how they say backup backup backup.

well i found out you should ALSO backup your cell phone. it takes a LOT of time to put 100 numbers back in a cell phone if you are using your cell phone as the interface.

for your new fone get the kit or whatever is necessary to allow you to connect your cell phone to your pc and backup your contacts list. that's what i did after losing all my contacts once. won't happen again.

I saw something like this on a plane the other day. It's expensive, but if you've got the money (or want to search for something like this)...

There is no software from Sprint's site (that's free) but you can use SnapSync (I think that's the name) by Future Dial. Check it out.
