Hi, folks!
I already read posts regarding new comp build guides, however some of the links are outdated.
So here is what i Need:
should be AMD system, dual core, cheap, around $300, ability to use my 26 inch tv thru HDMI, 64 bit.
Need processor, mobo, memory, HD, video card, case and PSU.
Thank you.

For $300? Good luck...

Your best bet is to go buy a Dell at their refurb depot and drop a cheap video card with HDMI in it.

CPU $60
Mobo $70
Video Card $70
HD $55
case with PSU $80?
DVD-ROm $20?
memory $30-40
may be closer to $400

Can be done at $289! with a cute and portable casing included hehe
Use HDMI from the onboard 780G integrated video to connect to your LCD TV and set HDMI Digital as default sound device to transmit both video and audio via HDMI :p

Except that includes an Apevia PSU.

And no video card.

If there's even going to be mild gaming on this rig, you want/need a discrete GPU.

From my understanding he wants a HTPC that could hook up to the LCD TV - no mention of gaming. Also yes i would not recommend that PSU for anything more powerful than a GF8600 but for integrated HD3200 it would be fine :p

it'll be a rig for my bedroom, not for gaming, divx movies, internet, etc.
I guess, I won't need a video card.

If no gaming at all then Animal's build will be great.

You might consider swapping the included PSU for the Antec EA380 ($35 @ newegg).

Fixed :p

And +1 to that build (swapping the PSU would be a good idea to avoid it killing the system in the future).
