Hey, my first hot deal :) Well, not really. Credit goes to chucky7 over on dvdtalk.com for this deal.
Please read the whole post over there, it has some really good info, here.

So, the site is Koreandvds, and they have a superbit blow-out. Most are $12 or $13 each. :Q Please remember though, most if not all will have small korean letters on the dvd case and/or spine. Some also will be in clear dvd cases instead of the normal black. But they play fine in america(no need for a region-free player) and have american DTS and DD5.1 tracks just like normal. All superbits, reguardless of county are NTSC and region R1, R3 and R4.

Black Hawk Down is the main one that most people are buying. It is only availible in Korea as a superbit, and is the only copy of the movie with a DTS track! It's not on the main page, you will have to go here. It's a 4 disc copy for only $23 :D
Spider-Man is also available in superbit only in korea.

This is a highly reputable company and these are not bootlegs!

Anyways, good luck. I you better order before it ends!

No love on this? They also have battle royale for $23 for the 2 disc special edition with DTS. Defiantly a movie to check out!

Superbit has a high video bitrate, ie higher quality picture. Usually they forego all other eminities, like deleted scenes and such. The spiderman video though has 2 dvds in the package. So it most likely has the extras on the 2nd disc.
Shipping charges get it up to almost $20.

Superbit DVDs are Columbia Tristar's "premium quality" line that devotes all the bits to picture/sound quality. No extra features, just the movie and usually DTS sound. This is a great deal on these titles; I notice in the DVD Talk thread it says the sale is thru Feb. 27, but at the site it appears to be still going. (They don't have every Superbit title listed so maybe they have sold out of some?)

for 8 dvds' it was $15 for airmail. Not that bad considering where they are shipped from. Sure beats 22.99 + tax at the local stores.

Disclaimer from the site:

Titles produced in Korea are subject to government censorship when it involves nudity and violence. Although the censorship has been lessened over the years, frontal nudity and extreme violence(although rare) are forbidden. ... When you are worried about censored and deleted scenes of graphic violence and frontal nudity, do not buy from our site.

Hmm...

"never not" == "always", right? so why would we buy them from korea when we can "always" buy them from USA?? :)

I'm very tempted to buy Equilibrium from them. I'm a huge fan of that movie (including finding the unofficial sound track) and they look like they have the best DVD edition.

yeah, pretty good movie. Is the region 3 better than the U.S. cut? Remember only the superbits' will play in a region 1 US dvd player.

well, I believe there is two different True Lies, they carry the regular one and the animorphic. People on dvdtalk say it's a good quality print but I would post over there to see what people with the dvd say.

Also, I chose airmail and the shipping is 7-10 days.

It sounds like you are saying saying that all of these Superbits are R1, R3 and R4. (actually, it doesn't just sound that way, that is what you said)

But when I look at the info for Spiderman and it simply states that it's Region 3. If it's only available in R3, then unless everybody has a Region-Free dvd player, this deal might not be as hot as some buyers think.

well what the guy that got this deal going says, "Ok, The NTSC Superbits can be played on any region that uses NTSC, except Japan, which is R2 NTSC. Since R1, R3, R4 Brazil is NTSC, the Superbits are actually R1/R3/R4. Digitalfreaknyc said that all superbits are Region 0 because people with R1 players will be able to play them (just like R0 discs)."

So yes, it *will* play in any american dvd player!
