Just wondering what the popular options for cheap storage are. I don't care about speed, 5400 will do just fine. The best deal i could find right now is around $1.6/GB, which is a 60GB HD. Any higher and the price/GB goes up, same with any lower. Not to mention that 60GB isn't enough. I'm thinkin at least 150, but the more the better. Maybe like a little external storage device or whatever? I don't know. Suggestions?

I said i need 150GB, and you suggest 250MB cartrigers? :D

Anyone know what Ultrium is? Pricewatch has tons of 200GB cartriges for it, as low as $100 a piece. Damn that's 50c/GB!

Difficult situation/decision.

At the moment, CDs are very cheap for storage. The problems being: burning...

A HD is very convenient, and as you pointed out, then best VFM at the moment is around 60 GB. How about getting 2 of those HDs and a RAID card?

You could end up with one 120 GB drive (and yes, I know, more chance of losing the data)

What do you need all this storage for? If it is MP3s you are making than CDs might do it. CDs right now are the cheapest thing going..30c for 700 MB of storage.
