SW has extended their internet specials right now and have started allowing travel on any day.

This is a great deal is SW Airlines are near you. Nashville to Vegas Non-Stop Round Trip is under $100 (at least for the dates I looked up).

Might want to check it out if you're flying this fall.

I have been flying Southwest since they came to Buffalo, even though I live in Rochester (60 mile away). You give up a few amenities (like assigned seats), but the savings is worth it. Southwest also will allow you to use tickets from flights you do not take on future flights. I am not sure how many other airlines do this.

Check to see if Southwest still has the deal where they will give you double frequent flyer credits if you make your reservations over their web site.

Better check again...SW now requires you to mail in unused tickets for a refund or a voucher for a furture flight which can take up to 60 days according to the insert in my ticket from Wednesday. Plus, no more last minute ticket purchases at the gate that made their airline so popular. They are also severly restricting what you can carry on the airplane and stowing your allowed carry-on in the overhead bin of THEIR choice. Also those last minute carry on fast food snacks from the airport food court are no longer allowed

there was one day this week that I looked up some fares and it wasn't in effect. Monday or Tuesday, maybe. I also think last time I checked it was still limited to certain days of the week.

Thank you for the heads-up! I was waiting for the Dallas Love --> Houston Hobby $30 flight, and last time I checked it wasn't applicable on Sundays... now it is!

Booking now...

That's a great way to get some SW Rapid Rewards! Surely, you're enrolled in that, right?

Their specials right now are really good. I got a roundtrip from dtw to portland oregon for $200 roundtrip with only seven days notice. Priceline can be cheaper than any posted fare if you know how to bid, but for those who need to be there at a specified time, it works wonderfully.
