Cheap PS3 games that would help my wife understand why I just bought a PS3

I'm being a bit tongue in cheek here, but my wife is a little annoyed that we're only using our new PS3 to watch movies - she's insisting that we go to gamestop tomorrow and buy some games.

What are some used cheapies that I should get that I couldn't get on the xbox 360?

Not cheap, but little big planet might just be enough to convince your wife the PS3 was worth it. It's a very cute/charming game that's only on the PS3.
 
The good PS3 exclusives aren't cheap. Metal Gear 4, GT5😛, Ratchet & Clank, God of War, Uncharted, and many others are still expensive. How about you just buy a good game that's multiplatform and just tell her it's only available on PS3. She's a woman. She won't know. She should be in the kitchen anyways.
 
What about the PSN games? There are a bunch of unique, fun, and cheap PS3 games that you could get through PSN.

Go to Gamestop today, and buy two used games, and get one for free.

Little Big Planet is extremely fun, and one she would probably enjoy. Heavenly Sword looks great, and I really enjoyed it. Has a woman as a hero... makes shed like that. There are a ton of great games, for $35 or less used price.

And buy greatest hits games like Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Resistance or Motorstorm that are great exclusives and can be found for 29.99 or less nowadays everywhere (because that's their MSRP), also you can go online and find deals on other great PS3 exclusives, especially the single-player games like Uncharted and MGS4, they can often be found online for less than $40, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is only 29.99 as well as is Warhawk (online-only).
 
Not cheap, but definitely make the PS3 worth it for gaming: MLB 09 The Show, Uncharted, Little Big Planet.
 
Dark Sector has tilt sensor control for the glaive on the PS3. It's available brand new for $10-20 if you search for the best price.

PixelJunk Monsters on PSN is good.

Not cheap, but Ratchet & Clank or Valkyria Chronicles might appeal to her. Don't pay $60 for them though, even Amazon sells them cheaper.

My local Block Buster video store had P3 games like Metal Gear 4, Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted for $29 used. Thats not bad.
 
Metal Gear was worth it alone imho. But god of war is always a fave when it comes out. I'm also enjoying killzone and resistance.

Eh, I guess I should have clarified. The only FULL game I've played on my PS3 was MGS4. I played a bunch of demos, including Uncharted. Uncharted was pretty meh and lackluster overall. Definitely not an exclusive to get all worked up about.

Huh. I play a lot of games, and I thought Uncharted was a great game, if a bit short. I haven't played the demo, so I don't know how well represented it was.
88/100 on Metacritic, too...
 
The Uncharted demo was amazing. I can tell you exactly which part of it sold me on the game... It was seeing the main character flinch at bullets hitting the object he was ducking behind for cover. Just that tiny bit of realism had me completely mesmerized and I knew I had to play the rest of the game.

Ryanpaulshaffer probably just doesn't like ps3 and nothing will ever sway his opinion. Must be some kind of buyer's remorse or something. He should sust sell the thing to a pawn shop if he hates it so much.
