From Hong Kong comes a rescue for the battered Polaroid brand that saw its once-dominant one-minute-photo products swept aside by digital cameras that can make pictures 59 seconds faster.
The Chinese marketing powerhouse World Wide Licenses Ltd. has cooked up a line of Polaroid-branded digital cameras with soaring specs and pared-down prices: $400 for a serious 4 megapixel model that will be available for the holiday shopping season, and a nifty Web video camera, complete with built-in microphone, available now for $69.
