Cheap places to get contact eye exams?

I need new contacts and my current benifits give me almost no discount whatsoever for contacts, does anyone know a cheap place to get eye exams?

right now the cheapest I am thinking Costco at $75 for a contact eye exam.

 
Try calling For-Eyes. I got my glasses there and it was pretty cheap. I can't imagine their eye exams costing much.

this is so annoying, my prescription hasnt changed it 10 years and my benifits dont cover an exam now and my last exam was 14 months ago, which is too long to still use.
 
The place I go to charges 20 for contact lense fitting and 40 for the eye exam, just look in the phone book and call around.
 
Mr. Dingle, you mind driving to San Gabriel / Alhambra area? IIRC, there's a place on Valley cross Del Mar which charges about $65.
 
there's a place near miracle mile that charges i think 75 for the exam. it's called optical boutique, 6300 wilshire. i've been going there for 2 years.

it said 75 on my receipt, but i have vision insurance.

one year of contacts at 30 bucks a box (assuming non toric) x 8 boxes for one year = 240 bucks.

one pair of glasses, plus all the coatings, plus if you need lighter lenses because of the frame design, etc = $$$.

i think even after insurance once i had to pay 200 something bucks for my glasses. i'm waiting until the new year to hit up vision insurance again (benefits reset) to get new glasses and it's only a 100 bucks off. 🙁
 
Actually as much as I hate them, WalMart Optical is a great choice and ordering you contacts is about as cheat is lens direct.
