I have an RX500 All-in-one, but I don't want to pay ~$15/tank (6 tanks) for ink ...

I heard something a while ago about EPSON doing something to sellers of "unauthorized ink" (?) but I'm not quite sure ...
 
Try SwiftInk.com . Be fast about changing tanks as epson has ridiculously fast-drying/fast clogging ink. These aren't the cheapest, but those who own Epsons buy a lot of ink from SI.
SI often gives ATers special deals - watch the stickies at the top of the HOT DEALS section. He also has a deal at Heatware quite often (but not as good as the deals we get).

Also instead of running the head cleaning and using up a lot of ink, go to this page and go to the bottom of the page, it will have 4 different colors. Left mouse click on the color, it will bring up a full page and just click on print and it will purge that color, let it run til no white streaks and then stop it. That way you only use the color ink that is a problem instead of all 4. http://www.colorbat.com/constructiontips.htm
