Cheap IR repeater?

I've got a friend who setup his plasma on a wall and has the equipment (AppleTV, Dish box, etc.) behind the wall. IR doesn't work behind the wall, obviously...are there any cheap IR repeater options where we can plug a receiver into the front and a flasher in the back?
 
Xantech makes quite a few IR products you should be able to get for a fair price. Crutchfield.com also offers an X-10 Pyramid wireless IR receiver, though I have mixed results with it for distances over 10 feet.
