Hello,

well, I got my dad a domain name, and the only thing he needs right now from it is few POP3 boxes ...

so, can anybody point me to some really cheap (around $1) hostings with few POP3 boxes , no set-up fee and some space :)

thx

5 mb of space and a pop3 box... you get what you pay for.

3-95 is great, probably the best hosting service available.-- but i think thats probably a little more than what he is looking for .

I was kind of reluctant to recommend them while they were small, but now that they're moving to their own Data Center and expanding, Cyberwings should be one of the best deals out there. I've been with them for awhile, and you really can't beat them for price and service. Plus, everyone who works for them is so damn nice! You can't sign up for any service right now because they're backlogged with requests, but I think they'll be accepting orders again in about a week. Don't let the cheesy site fool you, they know what they're doing!

you still get what you pay for... whether it be through customer support, reliability, speed, bandwidth, etc. just know that you're giving up something for a low price.

I've had absolutely no probems...my site is pretty nonexistant right now (just a placeholder), but I use the emails constantly. DL/UL times thru ftp are pretty damn good, too. I don't know how a big site that gets lots of hits would do on it, but for personal use, you really can't beat it.

Oh, and I still haven't figured out what the catch is! :)

Yeah, and when they go bankrupt and you've lost access to the site, come back and tell us what a great deal you got.

Geez, you'd think after the last two years of bloodbath you people would have learned.

werk: that's one cheap hosting ... but only thing, I need a hosting as fast as possible (my dad needs e-mail) :(

p.s. I also interested in a little bit more expensive hostings with at least 200mb of space, but those who support 2 domains :)
