This is one I found today. $19.99 a month for 6 months of Comcast high speed Internet with a free(through the use of rebates, shipping was $9) Motorola modem and $125 rebate. 3 rebate forms to fill out in total for a cheap Internet hookup.

This link also has additional companies so you can shop around, I can't since Comcast has the cable monopoly in Portland, OR
 
not a great deal. i got 6 months @ 19.99 plus a $75 gift card to best buy and a free modem. they advertise this deal in all the big electronics retailers.

BTW, get 6 months at $19.99, free modem and install kit (instant rebates) and $100 gift card by mail from Best Buy. Finally got my mother who is retired to sign up for high speed, dial up just wasn't cutting it. Walked out with Linksys v4 modem and self install kit for $0.00, and received the $100 gift card for Best Buy 2 weeks later.

Edit: Also the offer for the Best Buy Gift card was submitted online, couldn't be easier.

I'll look into this! Getting new rental... but not sure if it works in San Diego. Also trying to remember how big a lurker I am 😛

The OP's deal is better than your deal after rebates. 19.99/mo for 6 months and a free modem AR plus 125.00 rebate. The 125 MIR beats a 75.00 Beastbuy gift card anyday.

By the way, Lurkers were great for dropping on top of enemy bases next to the mineral gatherers. Have a couple of empty Overlords lead the way, drop some Hydras/Zergling, and burrow the Lurkers. Yay for income deficit!
 
We do better than that on a DSL connection with a higher speed. Not much of a deal.

Let me guess- you signed up to peddle the deal?

Please do share details if you're going to rain on the parade. I'd like to get a better deal on high-speed internet than what the OP has stated! If it can't be done, then this is a good deal. 🙂
