cheap GSM phone with qwerty keyboard

my old pda phone died. i want to get a 3g iphone whenever that comes out. between now and then i want a cheap phone with qwerty. recommendations? doesnt have to be cutting edge... something i could get second hand on ebay maybe

You should be able to get a Cingular (AT&T) 8125 secondhand for relatively cheap. Flash a 3rd party ROM, and use the available tools, to overclock it slightly, and it'll run like a champ until you get the phone of your dreams.
