Actually that's good, you know they didn't overchange for the shipping...even though is was supposed to be free...<G>

They paid my $1.97 postage, for 13 Epson 880 carts. They don't accept mail without postage. I'd have spoken to the local stupidvisor about that strange new policy of receiver paid mail. "OK, then can I have the phone # of my local postmaster." They just hate when you go over their heads, just to have it hit the fan. LOL The driver was lazy and didn't want to bother delivering it, so he used the postage due gag.

The ink carts I got for my canon 320 and epson 820 are the same (china) manufacturer as I got from Megatoners..... But turn around time is kinda slow.....

Otherwise the carts worked well... I printed out about 27 4X6 prints and they look great....

I REPEAT .... Turnaround time is S L O W. So if you need ink quick get it from megatoners ( I usaually get it in 3-4 days) But if you want ink dirt cheap and are willing to wait go with these guys.

I ordered both Blue and Rainbow brands from Tylermartin. They didn't give me a tracking, or orderlink, but I should have it tomorrow for comparison. They e-mailed Tues. that it shipped. The $1 ones look different, than Megatoners and Ink4art, but it may just be cosmetic. All no-name China. Megatoners charge me NYC tax...and the Lucky #13 $1 ones actually came.

They are on their way. I'll give them a try.

Thanks for the link.
I've been a member at resellerratings since 2000, and this is only the 2nd time I've had anything bad to say about a company.
Still waiting more than 3 weeks for my ink that was supposed to be here in 1 to 6 days from next state.
They charge you for items not in stock and not shipped.
They fail to respond to emails.
They are not honest or accurate about availablity and shipping.

Just curious what type of ink you are trying to get?

<a class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,111767,00.asp" target=blank>Scary PC World article about generic ink</A>. This is from the issue on news stands right now. It says generic ink produces quality prints but tends to fade and clog print heads. This is not the propoganda that printer companies give you -- they did some research on various inks. Personally I have used generic ink for some time and have noticed both the fading and the clogging. It has never deterred me in the past, but now that I have several Epson inkjets that seem picky about the ink (and that don't include print heads in the cartridges), I think I am going to switch back to OEM ink.

I used to have a Epson Stylus 600 that used BCI carts, all I did was alternate Ink Refills with Just Plain 90% Rubbing Alcohol Refils, Print Quality was very good considering I didn't add any ink, you couldn't even tell all I added was rubbing alchohol. Never noticed fading and my print heads NEVER clogged..

When The Epson Died (power supply went) my wife went out and bought a Lexmark Z-45 because it handles the heavy card stock for her real estate stuff. More of a pain to refill that one but the ONtel Universal kits work very well but the are expensive $30ish at Walmart, compared to these. I still use alcohol with the lexmark between ink refils.

So anyone recommend a BCI printer that can do cardstock and take a beating???

At these prices it cracks me up people are actually wasting the poor companys time by emailing repeatedly asking about expiration dates.

They cant possibly be making enought to have a full line of customer service reps at your disposal.

If you havent recieved anything after placing an order, thats one thing, but if you have your ink for $1 each(!!) and are emailing them, you need to get a reality check.

Some people swear by Amonia or Windex (has to be brand new bottle) .... I have a stubborn clog in the yellow nozzle of my EPSON 820 I ran the clean process 8 times and its still clogged a bit...

How does this work ? Do I just pry the caps off my empty ink carts? Wont it spill out since the viscosity is much thinner than say the ink? Are there any instructions around on how to turn old carts into cleaning carts? I dont wanna pay 12.50 for the ready made cleaning carts...

I never tried windex, it's just alcohol, amonia, soap, and mostly water... Alot of water, we make our own cleaning products here and the windex recipie is:

1 cup rubbing alcohol
1 cup household ammonia
1 tsp Dish Soap
1 Gallon Water

Cost me about $.35 a Gallon for glass cleaner that way compared to paying $3-$4 for a 28oz bottle of windex... and the results are the same.. Even though mine isn't blue 😀, I suppose I could add a few drops of blue food coloring to it but, that just doesn't makes sense, if you are trying to clean glass why would you put blue on it?? Isn't clear better??

So based on that I wouldn't use windex. just straight 90% rubbing Alchohol. The process is easy, just use the stuff that comes with your refill kit but every other refill, fill them with rubbing alcohol instead of ink. Some carts have to be busted open others just need a small hole driled or punched in the top. That's why I like the Ontel kits. They comes with everything you need and the instructions for each type of cart are excellent.

I have never had a problem with Alchohol/ink leaking out of carts. Most have sponges in them. The viscosity is lower but not by much and the ink in the cart can be somewhat dry and gummy and it evens out. Gooey ink is what clogs the heads after all.. easiest way to make your own cleaning cart is to add rubbing Alcohol to your cart by making a small hole in the top and inject 10 or so Ml of Alcohol in and run the cleaning process..

Like I said my wife is a realtor and we go through lots of ink, using the Alcohol makes it go twice as far and also saves the print heads..

I don't think we should be busting on this company quite yet. After all they are only $1.45 a cartridge.

I do feel sorry for people who buy HPs, Lexmarks and to a certain extent, Epsons.

Well they did it to me too. I got a card in my mailbox today saying $2.11 postage due on my package from monsterink. I didn't know the P.O. would accept mail postage COD either but here it is...

At this ridiculous price, I say to those complaining about short expiration dates or slow shipping: Stop whining!

HOWEVER, this business of shipping postage due is totally bogus, even at the price. If they say shipping is free, that should mean shipping is free. Not shipping is free FOR US (and postage due for you!)

Update.
Finally received ink after waiting 24 days, shipped from Georgia to Florida.

It was for Epson 860
(also same ink as BLK 740/760/1160/2000/2500, CLR same as BLK + 440/460/640/660/670).
It is the same as the stuff Tyler Martin sells BLK for $1.40 and CLR for $2.90, that arrived the day before.

I think Monsterinkjets was trying to get one over on the post office, but post office must have found out. Was labled
USPS Media Mail, but Media Mail was crossed off, and now shows postage due of $3.71, which we had to pay.
So much for free shipping.

Others are starting to see the same thing.
I will not be using Monsterinkjets again. Too shady.

BTW, Tyler Martin had my ink to me in 3 days, USPS priority mail, for $4.95.

Congrats to those that got on this when it was fast and had free shipping.

ordered 14 cartridges and took over 2 weeks to get them, even though they took the paypal payment right away. Kinda shoddy practice.

HP and Epson I would rate to be the best quality inkjet printers while epson have the advantage of cheap replacable ink" HPs are fine as long as you want to pay $20,000 a gallon for ink. As far a photo printing, the Canons will stand up to and exceed the HPs and Epsons.

i've got to agree here, not only do the canon photo printers match or beat the other guys in reviews, but my own experience with a mid-level hp (930c) and a low-end canon (i550) and the canon beats the hp by miles.

i also LOVE canon's approach to ink - clear plastic carts so i can actually SEE when i'm getting low, and seperate carts so i don't have to throw out the blue and red when the yellow runs dry. (despite some reviewers claims that all colors are used at roughly the same rates, i always found that my hp ran out of yellow first - and now that i can SEE the ink levels i can confirm this - on my second set of color carts in my canon and the yellow is 50% gone, the blue and red are 20%-25% gone!)

oops, forgot to ask the important question - has anybody tried their canon i550 inks? is the quality up to the level of canon inks?
