Cheap FTP hosting for home security monitoring

There are so many FTP hosts ou there that I need some help finding one that's going to be suitable to my needs but not break the bank.

I've used hostgator in the past but that was several years ago. They were reliable and seemed to charge a fair price but I don't know their reputation these days.

My main concerns are uptime and price. I'll sacrifice price for uptime and reliability.

Any help is appreciated. 🙂

I used Mightweb for 2 websites, and they are nice and cheap. I switched to Mightweb after Arvixe was bought out by EIG and went to hell in October, so I recommend avoiding all EIG brands (hostgator is EIG).

I think I might use Google Drive as a local hard disk for recording. Doesn't seem to be completely seamless though but I'll give that a shot first since it's free.
