I found a cheap fan controller that works pretty decent at a decent price.

The Fan Controller attaches to any slot in the back of the computer. It is called the Evercool Slot Fan Speed Controller

It is only $2.99. Here is the link. Evercool Slot Fan Speed Controller

Let me know if you guys think this is a hot deal.

doesn't seem very practical to me, hard to reach, not much in the way for adjustments, but for $2.99, how can one be that picky? Might be good for some people, but not for me. I'd go with moderately warm.

I've been looking for one of these, too, to control a PCI fan. I don't have an open slot, does it look like I can break the switch from the panel and just have it as a dongle hanging out? Thanks.

If your looking for a cpu fan, w/heat sink and controller all in one - I bought this:

CoolerMaster

at Frys for $10 last week. It's kind of loud when spinning at highest speed, but I get about a 5 f degree difference

between highest and lowest speed.

The new ThermalTake all come with fan controller w/ lo/med/hi settings. my volcano 7+ has it and i think it's a general trend that new cpu fans will come with it since 'noise' is getting to be a bigger and bigger issue to ppl.

These work good if you just want to trim fan speed to decrease noise, set and forget. I used one like it on an old delta cpu fan in my left-over-parts computer and it worked great. It's a retrofit, I wouldn't plan anything new around it tho.
