Cheap DVDs for Canucks?

Where can i get the best deals on DVDs online? Must have shipping to Canada 😀 Or would it be cheaper to buy this locally and avoid the shipping charges?

None of the online places seem to have any good deals for Canadians. I'd stick to a local store. In Vancouver A&B Sound and Futureshop seem to have a good pricewar going that really benefits consumers. I mean I picked up Reservoir Dogs for $10 the other day. $10!!

Yeah, nothing too exciting online.
Last couple DVDs I got from A&B Sound though I think they're just in western Canada, they do have a website.
Futureshop has similar prices, but on the east end of town and I'm in north central without a car so...

Nothing wrong with Future Shop's prices. Just stay on top of the flyers and grab the ones you want when they're on sale, and the prices won't be beat.
My cousin comes up from San Jose every couple months to stock up on DVDs, he says they're almost the same price down there, in American dollars!

Just go to Wal-Mart. Their "low everyday prices" beat the pants off most Canuck online deals, once you factor in the horrendous shipping costs.

Gotta love the power of massive U.S.-owned department stores!

The DVDTalk forums don't really help us since we're not American, or willing to put up with ridiculous brokerage fees for crossing the border, or the ridiculous value of the canuck dollar compared to the allmighty greenback.

Anyhoo, here are some others just for Kenyadians:

www.cdplus.com -- use visasavings.ca 15% off coupon, but be warned, lousy customer service
www.directvideo.com -- nice imports and banned/int'l flicks
www.absound.ca -- ridiculous shipping costs to ontario
chapters.indigo.ca - in the rare occasion they have free shipping and you have a coupon/g.c. of some sort
www.hmv.ca -- ditto as for chapters
www.futureshop.ca & their B&M stores <-- best online option for ontarians
Wal-Mart B&M - best choice for "popular, mainstream" shiat
www.totalactionuniverse.com -- dunno

🙂

Hmm yeah it looks like buying them locally is cheaper. Just gotta wait til they're on sale somewhere. Even the lowest prices i could find on eBay.ca are higher with shipping is added.
