The cheapest date I've ever gone out on with a girl ended up costing me about 15$. Can anyone beat that?

Yeah, how about 2 bucks.

It was a long walk and we got a couple of cokes. One of the best I would say.

Depends on what time frame you're talking about. We used to be able to go to a drive in movie and get a few snacks for less than 5 bucks. Ask your parents or grandparents what a drive in movie is. They beat the hell out of movie theatres for taking a girl out. WHOOHOO! Back seat and steamed up windows are the only way to go to a movie.

Its not fair.... I want to go to a drive in. There used to be 3 in this area, but they closed years ago. The last one was torn down not to long ago to make room for a grociery store. :(

I'm not so behind the times I don't know what a drive in is. :)

Believe me, you have my envy.

Unfortunately it was the kind of girl that you need to drink a 12-pack before you really find her attractive.

ROFL. It takes balls to admit that, even to anonymous internet users.

I can't beat a $15 date. All the women I have dated have always claimed that money wasn't important to them, but when we would go on dates, they wanted to go places so I could spend money on them and they always wanted an expensive dinner. Women, bah!

Money is important, and I insist on paying my part too. As for food, I prefer good food over expensive food. Too bad sushi is kinda expensive.

That's kind of expensive. If you're smart like me, you can get the woman to pay. If you know that the sparks don't ignite, when the check comes and she offers to pay, let her!

I never mind paying for quality when I buy things.

Yeah, and you better put-out too. If I paid for everything, I expect to get laid later. :)

That's why it's best for me to split the tab with the guy.

I'm gonna do a bit of 'fessing up here just to make it a bit more interesting.

My wife and I dated for 1 year before getting married. I was 3 years home from VN and still suffering from jungle brain. I was going to school and didn't have 2 nickels to rub together. My wife, then girlfriend, paid every penny for every date we went on. She loaned me $500 to buy a car just so I could pick her up rather than her picking me up. She paid for the gas when we went to Vegas to get married. She paid for the motel (she couldn't afford a hotel). When we got back home she bought her own wedding band because I didn't have any money. We lived in her apartment for the next 2 years with her paying most of the bills (I did get a part time/temporary job once in awhile). Fast forward 30 years: we are still married and I have been paying the bills for the last 25 years. You couldn't drag me away from this woman with all the sex or money in the world.

BTW, I have offered to buy her a diamond ring but she doesn't want it. She says that worn old gold band that cost $48 30 years ago is more a symbol of our relationship than any diamond ring could ever be.

I guess that was my cheap date.
